Adams Notary Services, LLC is committed to providing prompt, professional, and reliable notary services. These Terms of Service explain the policies, responsibilities, and conditions that govern your use of our services and help ensure a smooth experience for every appointment.
Appointment Confirmation
Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. An appointment is considered confirmed once accepted by both parties.
Identification
All signers must present valid, government-issued photo identification that complies with New Jersey notary requirements.
Document Preparation
Documents should be complete and ready for notarization prior to the appointment.
Notarial Authority
Adams Notary Services cannot provide legal advice, prepare legal documents, or determine the type of notarial act or certificate required. The signer or document preparer is responsible for selecting the appropriate notarial act.
Right to Refuse Service
A notarization may be refused if identification is insufficient, the signer appears unwilling, unaware, under duress, or the notarization would violate New Jersey law.
Travel Fees
Travel fees are separate from New Jersey’s statutory notarial fees. Once travel has begun, the agreed travel fee is generally non-refundable.
Waiting Time
A complimentary 15-minute grace period is included. Additional waiting time may be billed at the current published waiting-time rate.
Cancellation
If travel has begun, the agreed travel fee is due. If the notarization cannot be completed because of client circumstances, applicable travel and administrative fees remain due.
Payment
Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Additional Services
Quoted fees are based on the information provided when scheduling. Additional signers, notarizations, travel, waiting time, witness services, apostille assistance, or other requested services may result in additional charges, which will be discussed before services are performed.
Changes to Terms of Service
We may update our Terms of Service from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
